Beijing Courtyard

Traditional house in the hutongs that can also be called Siheyuan. Usually shaped like a box with a garden positioned in the center of the square and only one entrance to the courtyard. This type of layout can be seen throughout all types of buildings.

Farmer Caves
These dwellings only exist in China.

Earthen Buildings of Hakkas

Stilt Houses
Typically found in Miao villages of Kaili, these buildings were made so that villagers could live in the northern mountainous area where the climate is very foggy and wet.
